I've wanted to restart this blog for ages. It's not the first time that it has fallen quiet. I can offer no particular reason, other than life getting in the way.
But once going quiet for a few weeks had become a few months had become a few years, it was as if I needed some large event - something about which I could go "Ta-da! I'm back!!" as the justification for starting up again.
No such event has happened now, other than the realisation that I should get over myself, stop allowing life to simply pass me by (there are, when I think of it, loads of things I could have written about, and wanted to write about, in the few years that have passed since last I was here) and get scribing.
So here it is (...Merry Christmas). A little late I agree. But a new start, a fresh start, is better than none at all.
